Read below to see the questions and Aaron’s answers:
1) What is your best childhood memory?
When I was a kid, I lived in Long Island. My grandparents lived 10 minutes away from me and lived right by the beach. I have many fond memories of going to the beach with my grandparents and going on fishing trips with my grandfather. My proudest childhood memory was when I caught a large flounder and got my picture in the newspaper for catching the largest fish.
2) If you could have a room of any one thing, what would it be?
Money because I could use that money to buy other things that I need.
3) What is your favorite flavor of ice cream?
Cookies and cream
4) If you could be any fictional character, whom would you be?
Gandalf from Lord of the Rings. I’d be immortal and could cast magic.
5) What’s the one thing you own that you know you should get rid of but never will?
My old beat up wire music stand. I’ve had it since I played viola in middle school. I know I should just get rid of it and buy a better stand, but it has too much sentimental value now. It’s a big part of my musical past.
6) What book are you currently reading (or the last one you read)?
I was at Half Price Books yesterday and was browsing several books. One of the most interesting one was a history of famous trials from the 19th and 20th centuries.
7) What is your favorite word, phrase, quote or lyric?
These go to 11.
8) What is the most inspiring concert or performance you have ever seen?
I’ve seen so many concerts in my life that it’s hard to choose one, but I guess the one that made the most impact was Soundgarden at the Austin Music Hall in 1996. It was my first rock concert and pretty much inspired me to make music my life’s work.
9) Name something you love that no one else seems to like. (Or name something that everyone seems to love except you.)
Almost none of my non-musician friends or family like any of the more extreme types of music that I like (death metal, avant garde classical, experimental rock, etc).
